Many people opt to take our online training course as opposed to our in-person course due to time and other constraints. We have worked hard to make our online TEFL TESOL course effective and in-depth, emulating our in-person, immersion course to every extent possible. However, one area where the online course simply can not replace the in-person training course is in the teaching practices, where trainees teach to actual EFL students in front of our seasoned trainers who provide feedback and grade the trainees every step of the way. Now, the option to come to our school to take part in this vital step of your learning process is available to all of our online TEFL TESOL training course students.

More Practice Hours With Real EFL Students

If you are currently enrolled in or thinking about enrolling in our online TEFL training course, we highly recommend that you take part in these actual teaching practices. Live teaching practice in a real classroom environment is one of the final and most important steps to becoming an effective, successful TEFL TESOL instructor. We believe it is so essential that our teaching practices are 10 hours minimum, greatly surpassing the international standard, which recommends 6 hours. Also, we can not emphasize more how important it is to have these teaching practices in as realistic an environment as possible. Teaching practice for some providers means teaching your peers or some providers account team teaching as formal teaching practices. We do not. You will teach real students individually and be observed and critiqued for ten full classes by your personal tutor. We do not promote team teaching, as it is not a realistic EFL setting. Other providers will offer 6 hours of observed teaching practice per trainee group and not per individual trainee. You are individually observed by several professional trainers.

Upon successful completion of your 5 days of teaching practices, you will receive a certificate of attendance. Trainees, who are native English speakers holding a college degree, will automatically qualify for guaranteed paid job placement in Mexico.

For guaranteed job placement in Mexico, applicants must meet the following requirements:  

Have a TEFL certificate (or equivalent) issued by a reputable institution. Subject to the review of ITTO.

Be native English speakers

Be 21 years of age or older, at time of start of assignment.

Have a college degree.

Have a valid passport. Although only a tourist permit is required to enter Mexico. Traveling abroad on a passport is always better. A passport is also necessary for processing your work permit. 

Applicants must be myriad-minded, flexible, independent, and in good health.

Must enjoy working with children, teens or adults, at either schools, language centers or in-company.

Be available to work mornings and/or evenings.

Submit a cover letter and resume. Upon request, we may provide formats for you to adapt your own.

Be able to commit to a job for at least 6 months.
